Job summary

TQI Solutions in Chesapeake, VA, is seeking a Software Engineer III to lead the modernization of mission-critical U.S. Navy software systems.

You will guide Agile development for cloud-native apps, microservices, RESTful APIs, containerization, and DevSecOps to ensure secure, scalable enterprise solutions. The role emphasizes technical leadership across the lifecycle, collaboration with government stakeholders, and mentorship of junior engineers, with a competitive salary and comprehensive

Qualifications

Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or Mathematics.
Demonstrated experience applying Agile, DevOps, and DevSecOps in professional or academic environments.
Experience designing and developing enterprise software applications using modern programming concepts and best practices.

Responsibilities

Lead Agile software development teams in design, development, testing, and deployment of cloud-native enterprise applications for U.S. Navy mission systems.
Design and develop scalable software solutions utilizing microservices, RESTful APIs, and containerized environments.
Provide technical leadership for DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and secure software development practices.
Research, design, develop, and maintain software applications supporting mission requirements.
Collaborate with project managers, cybersecurity personnel, systems engineers, logistics teams, and Government stakeholders to develop technical solutions.
