Job description

Own parts of our AWS infrastructure and CI/CD setup.

Responsibilities:

1. Build and maintain secure, production-grade Kubernetes clusters.
2. Secure environment management and secrets handling.
3. Implement a zero-trust security approach with team support.
4. Prepare infrastructure for penetration testing audits.
5. Develop and evolve Terraform modules to manage infrastructure at scale.
6. Collaborate with product and backend teams to design cloud-native services.
7. Lead small initiatives or pods, balancing delivery with technical quality.
8. Set up or refine Grafana dashboards for core metrics (e.g., pod status, latency, traffic spikes, memory/CPU trends).
9. Establish a data-driven feedback loop to detect issues early (e.g., failed deployments, noisy alerts, unusual traffic patterns).
10. Enhance our observability stack based on OpenTelemetry.
11. Automate repetitive tasks.
12. Document decisions to help the team learn and improve.

Requirements:

• Deep experience with AWS cloud services.
• Strong Terraform skills and a passion for clean infrastructure as code.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production, including troubleshooting and fixes.
• Proficiency in writing tools and automation scripts in Python or GoLang.
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry standards for observability.
• Security-minded, with attention to secrets, access controls, and system hardening.
• Effective communicator, comfortable with asynchronous work, and capable of leading initiatives when needed.
