Job summary

DUIT, a Baltimore-based woman-owned IT consulting firm, seeks a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure applications. You will work with technical leads to deliver robust services and impactful solutions using Java, React, and cloud platforms.

We value collaboration, clean code, and staying current with new technologies. Five years' experience and a BS in CS are required. Security background check required. On-site role in Baltimore, MD.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years' experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar work, type, and complexity is required.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure applications with a focus on quality.
• Contribute to back-end and front-end development efforts, building robust services and React-based interfaces.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following established best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture planning, and technical discussions to align on project goals.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices to continuously improve products and processes.
