Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in the Receiver Exciter and Processing Architecture (REPA) Department to design, architect, and implement real-time signal processing algorithms on CPUs, GPUs, and FPGAs across COTS and semi-custom hardware for next‑gen radar systems.

You will code and test C++ real-time software on Linux, collaborate with systems and hardware engineers, maintain code quality, and support CI. A DoD Secret clearance is required; relocation assistance may be offered.

Qualifications

• STEM degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years experience.
• C++ software development experience in Linux environments.
• Experience with networking concepts and protocols.
• Experience with Object-Oriented Analysis / Design (OOAD).
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

This is your opportunity to join the Receiver Exciter and Processing Architecture (REPA) Department as a Senior Software Engineer. The team’s primary goal is to design, architect, and implement signal processing algorithms on a variety of high-performance processing platforms – including CPUs, FPGAs and GPUs, on COTS and semi-custom hardware platforms, for next generation radar systems.

• Code, test, and integrate C++ real-time signal processing algorithms or control functions for sensor systems on Linux.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
• C++ software development experience in Linux environments.
• Experience with networking concepts and protocols.
• Experience with Object-Oriented Analysis / Design (OOAD).
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Value

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
