Verkada Inc. in San Mateo, CA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement robust business systems that keep our internal platform running at global scale.

You will build reliable, observable systems that support worldwide transactions, mentor junior engineers, and lead projects end-to-end while collaborating with product and security teams. This onsite role requires strong distributed systems expertise and a passion for reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with a focus on distributed systems at scale.
• Shipped customer facing products or internal tools in the past.
• Flexible and adaptive in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Passion for observability and reliability.
• In-depth expertise in distributed systems and data processing.
• AWS Cloud experience touching foundational blocks like: Kubernetes, Fargate, Lambda, Airflow, Athena, DynamoDB, VPC, and EC2.
• Bonus: Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, or eCommerce platforms.

Annual Pay Range

At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate's skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of restricted stock units (RSUs)

Below is the annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for full-time employees for this position, comprised of base compensation and commissions (if applicable).

$180,000 - $260,000 USD
