Waystar, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing Technology team in Atlanta.

You will collaborate with business and technology teams to design, build, and implement web and processing applications, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to QA and deployment processes. The role emphasizes designing scalable solutions, adhering to coding standards, writing unit tests, and providing accurate estimates and progress updates.

Qualifications

• Experience with statically typed/compiled languages and building web applications.
• Experience with relational databases and cloud platforms.
• Strong communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments.
• Familiarity with SDLC, QA processes and production deployments.

Responsibilities

• Proposes technical solutions to the Manager, Application Engineering.
• Designs, develops, tests, and implements improvements or new features into Waystar websites and core processing apps.
• Develops and augments applications based on specifications.
• Adheres to Waystar coding standards and approved technologies; proposes amendments when necessary.
• Unit tests changes on development and validates against business requirements with stakeholders.
• Communicates progress daily to senior team members.
