Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners LLC in the Chicago area seeks a Senior Software Engineer to drive modernization by developing solutions that enhance business operations. You will transition from VB.NET to C#, and evolve ASP.NET platforms to Blazor while contributing to the ERP system.

This is a 6-month contract position with potential for extension or conversion. Onsite presence is required two days per week in the southwest suburbs of Chicago.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering in .NET (C#/VB.Net).
• 5+ years building APIs and working with JSON.
• 3+ years Blazor or Razor development and .NET Core.
• Relational databases experience (SQL Server or Oracle).
• Cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) preferred; Azure DevOps a plus.
• Experience with Webforms is a plus and agile teams.
• Strong self-management and ability to handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical solutions to modernize legacy systems.
• Lead VB.NET to C# migration and ASP.NET to Blazor evolution.
• Contribute to ongoing ERP system development and improvements.
• Collaborate in an agile environment and manage priorities.
