Job summary

WEX Benefits Technology team is hiring a Software Engineer to help build the next generation of employer benefits solutions. You will design and implement high‑quality software, align with Product Managers and customers, and contribute to data‑driven decisions.

You will work on modern tech stacks, emphasize security, and participate in testing and CI/CD for reliable delivery. Base pay reflects market ranges and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Proficiency in Angular and/or React; experience with REST APIs and test-driven development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to learn about customers’ biggest challenges.
• Measure, inspect, and drive decisions using data.
• Design, test, code, and instrument new solutions.
• Strengthen and drive our engineering process with TDD, BDD, microservices, and vertical slicing architectures.
• Support live applications, monitor, and pursue continuous improvement.
• Mentor peers and promote continuous learning within the team.
