• At least 1 year of experience with relational databases.
• Experience in cloud environments (AWS), microservices, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Proven experience writing and maintaining automated test suites across levels.
• Experience tuning performance in large-scale distributed systems.
• Ability to mentor others and influence technical decisions.

This Senior Software Engineer role sits within one of DraftKings' most innovative technology teams, building high-performance systems that scale to support millions of transactions each week. Working closely with engineers, product managers, and architects, the successful candidate will build scalable and reliable software that directly impacts customers. They will take ownership of key services, contribute to architectural decisions, and see their code quickly deployed to production. Key Responsibilities

• Ensure code quality with comprehensive test coverage including unit, integration, and performance tests.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any relevant combination of education, experience, and training.
• At least 3 years of software development experience using object-oriented languages like Java or C#.
• A strong grasp of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and scalable software architecture.
• At least 1 year of experience working with relational databases.
• Proven experience developing in cloud environments like AWS, including microservices and containerization such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• A track record of writing and maintaining automated test suites across multiple levels.
• Experience tuning performance in large-scale distributed systems.
• The ability to mentor others and influence technical decision-making.
