Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, implement, and maintain cutting-edge assessment platforms. You will work with a team of high-performing professionals in an agile environment, contributing to design reviews and high-quality software releases.

The role emphasizes cloud-based AWS hosting, modern web technologies, and collaboration across QA, configuration management, and user teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions. Prior experience with AI tools and LLMs is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required in Computer Science, MIS or related field.
• Master's degree or PhD preferred for senior level.
• Experience with highly available, highly concurrent web-based applications.
• Experience with Cloud AWS hosted applications.
• Experience with GIT or similar VCS tools.
• Experience in an agile development environment.
• Desire to expand knowledge in development languages and tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design to model customer requirements and create design artifacts.
• Implement designs following Pearson coding standards and best practices.
• Participate in requirements, design and code reviews.
• Test and deploy with other teams; write unit tests and ensure quality.
• Engage in quality and process improvement activities to raise product quality.
