Job summary

Palantir Technologies seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join a customer-facing product team developing advanced autonomous systems software. You will work on C2, agentic autonomy, and AI-driven decisions, integrating sensors, actuators, and unmanned platforms for real-world missions.

You will collaborate with robotics, AI, hardware, and UX experts to deliver scalable, reliable software across edge and cloud environments, shaping next-gen operational capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development
• 2+ years contributing to system design or architecture
• 2+ years mentoring, tech lead, or engineering leadership
• Strong proficiency in Rust, Python, C++, or Java
• Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
• Active US Security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize software for mission-critical autonomous systems
• Develop algorithms for real-time state estimation and threat detection
• Build AI-driven systems including LLMs to assess threats and deploy responses
• Develop integrations with sensors, effectors, and autonomous platforms
• Engineer scalable, reliable, fail-safe systems for high-stakes environments
• Partner with robotics, hardware, and systems teams to deliver integrated solutions
