Job summary

WelcomeHome is seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer to help build user-friendly software. This role is fully remote (U.S.-based) and reports to our VP of Engineering in Las Vegas.

You will work across the stack with Rails 8/Ruby 3.3, focus on delivering high-quality UX, and collaborate with a growing team in a SaaS environment. Experience in growth-stage startups and comfort with Claude Code are a plus.

About the Role:

WelcomeHome is looking for Senior Ruby on Rails Engineers excited about building user-friendly software solutions. This role is fully remote (based in the U.S.), will report to our VP of Engineering (based in Las Vegas), and play an integral role in product development and have the opportunity to impact several areas of the business.

Tech Stack

• Backend: Ruby on Rails 8 / Ruby 3.3 (currently upgrading to Ruby 4)
• Frontend: Haml, Stimulus, minimal React (where it earns its place)
• Testing: Minitest + Capybara, TDD throughout
• Data/Async: PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq
• Infrastructure: AWS (Aurora, S3, EC2) via Cloud66
• AI: Pi, Codex, and Claude Code used in the daily dev workflow

A great candidate might have:
