Apple Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Apple Services Engineering in San Francisco.
You will design and build fault-tolerant distributed systems powering observability across CloudKit and iCloud services, operating within Kubernetes and across large-scale data processing pipelines. The role emphasizes hands-on coding, architecture decisions, and production ownership, with opportunities to apply ML techniques to operational problems.
San Francisco, California, United States Software and Services
We're building the next generation of Apple's cloud services observability infrastructure. Join us to design and build the applications and services that give us deep insight into the operational health and efficiency of CloudKit, Apple's foundational privacy-focused database platform, and many other iCloud services.
We're looking for engineers with a strong track record of building fault-tolerant, distributed systems, and the judgment to operate confidently in a complex, high-scale environment. Our team builds the services and applications that power observability across CloudKit and other iCloud services, giving engineers the visibility they need to operate at massive scale. You'll work across the full lifecycle, from designing new services to deploying them on Kubernetes, while collaborating closely with infrastructure and platform teams whose systems you integrate with. We value engineers who can move fluidly between hands‑on coding, architecture decisions, and production ownership, and who are curious about applying new techniques, including machine learning, to solve operational problems.
