Job summary

saas.group's ScraperAPI team is seeking a senior engineer to dive into anti-bot detection and craft durable, repeatable methods to understand how providers block access. This remote-first role emphasizes autonomy, rigorous problem-solving, and collaboration with a high-autonomy team to push the boundaries of web-scraping defenses.

You will work mainly on Node.js/TypeScript with Python, handle large-scale backend systems (Postgres, Redis, MongoDB), and operate in a Kubernetes environment.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving using scientific method and repeatable experiments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze anti-bot and bot-mitigation detection methods to design around them.
• Turn breakthroughs into repeatable, durable processes with hypotheses and tests.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to build a greenfield agentic environment for testing anti-bot behavior.
• Work largely independently on deep problems, while keeping the team informed.
• Communicate plans clearly and assist during major incidents.
