JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Corporation is seeking a Sr. Android Engineer for its digital Product Engineering Ad Tech SDK team. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and native Android application development skills.

The FOX Monetization team develops and maintains display and video advertising, as well as reporting applications for various digital platforms, supporting FOX's web and app properties. We are looking for a talented Android Application Engineer to help develop, maintain, optimize, and implement new features for our advertising solutions.

The candidate should be comfortable working with a range of native application technologies, possess a solid understanding of Android frameworks, be proficient in Java, and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners. Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to create functional applications that meet product needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain, optimize, and develop new features using GAM/IMA, FreeWheel, and other Ad tech libraries for FOX's Android applications, focusing on video players, digital advertising, and analytics.
• Develop modular, scalable, and stable software.
• Become an expert in online video advertising technologies.
• Collaborate with team members and internal tech groups to adhere to coding standards and best practices.
• Integrate third-party plug-ins and software components.
• Support internal teams and external vendors using platform components.
• Participate in meetings with internal teams and external partners.

REQUIREMENTS

• BSc/MS in computer science or software engineering.
• Proven app development experience.
• Understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle.
• Experience with native application development, MVC frameworks, utility libraries, testing frameworks, build tools, code repositories, and CI tools.
• Proficiency in Java and Android SDK/frameworks.
• Knowledge of Android back-end services and design principles.
• Experience with React Native and version control tools like Git.
• Understanding of mobile landscape, architectures, and emerging technologies.
• Experience with continuous integration.
