Job summary

Siepe is seeking a hands-on Software Engineer to shape the next generation of our reporting and analytics UI — dashboards, charts, grids, and self-service exploration tools used daily. This full-stack role can be individual contributor or lead a small team, with a focus on UI excellence and turning complex data into fast, intuitive experiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and owning end-to-end product features in production.
• Proven experience delivering analytics/reporting UIs (dashboards, grids, charting, exports).
• Strong SQL (SQL Server preferred): aggregation, tuning, report-friendly modeling.
• Experience designing/consuming REST APIs and collaborating on contracts/performance.
• Experience leading a small team is a plus, including coaching, conducting reviews, driving accountability, and keeping a strong focus on delivery.
• Clear communicator who can explain tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Contribute as a hands-on subject matter expert or lead a small development team - planning and breaking down work, reviewing PRs, coaching engineers, and driving delivery.
• Build polished dashboards highlight data intelligence tools users have come to expect and reporting flows for portfolio, compliance, and operational analytics.
• Integrate with .NET/C# backend services through REST APIs with solid error handling and security patterns.
• Create advanced data exploration experiences using Highcharts, AG Grid Enterprise, and D3.
• Work across the stack to deliver reporting end-to-end: report-ready datasets → efficient APIs → high-performing UI.
• Partner with backend/data engineers on data modeling, query optimization, and performance at scale (100K+ rows).
• Establish standards for report correctness, validation, auditability, and tenant-specific configuration.
• Build confidence with unit + E2E testing (Playwright) and leverage AI tools to improve velocity and quality.
• Support production readiness: monitoring, logging, triage, and iterative UX/performance improvements.
