Amazon Games is seeking a highly effective Senior Game Developer - AI / ML to build and integrate innovative AI systems and tools into our game pipelines and customer experiences. Our mission is to be the most customer-obsessed video game company, exploring cutting-edge tools to enhance gameplay quality and fun, while ensuring ethical and responsible implementation.

Our team develops AAA multiplayer games and original IPs across multiple locations, collaborating with partners to deliver compelling gaming experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Implement libraries and middleware for advanced ML and AI use cases using cloud services and embedded models.
• Collaborate with game teams to embed generative AI & ML features into game designs.

About The Team

The AI Research team focuses on artificial intelligence in gaming, working with Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning, and Generative AI to innovate game development and enhance player experiences responsibly.

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years supporting title development, release, or live ops in the games industry.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, with experience in C++ preferred.
• Experience with Unity, Unreal, CryEngine, or similar engines.
• Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 1+ year of AI / ML integration in games.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Knowledge of RL, DRL, and distributed ML architectures.
• Experience deploying services leveraging generative AI models.
• Experience with cloud-based AI services.
