Job summary

Lansweeper is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Austin, TX to advance AI-native engineering. You will join the Redjack integration team, delivering scalable, observable backend systems and guiding architectural direction in an AI-augmented environment.

You will design robust data models and APIs, participate in architecture discussions, and mentor teammates while collaborating with Product, UX, and Engineering.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience required.
• Strong foundation in testing, version control, CI/CD, and code reviews.
• Proven experience in C, C++, or Rust with backend/distributed systems exposure.
• Solid data modeling, APIs, and service-oriented architecture knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design and build maintainable, scalable, observable, and well-tested software systems.
• Operate in an AI-augmented development workflow, decomposing problems and validating AI outputs.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and long-term system evolution.
• Apply systems thinking across data models, APIs, distributed systems, and service boundaries.
• Produce technical documentation, prompts, and design proposals.
• Mentor peers and collaborate with Product, UX, and Engineering teams.
