Job summary

Apply is seeking an engineer to join the Integrations team and define the technical direction of products connecting Perplexity to workflows across multiple verticals. You will own end-to-end delivery, build agentic apps, and ship AI-powered experiences used daily by users.

You will lead vertical-specific products, own data pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to push for reliable, high-impact solutions in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering complex products end-to-end.
• Demonstrated technical leadership: set direction and drove projects to outcomes.
• Strong execution: ship many products and experiments in parallel and measure results.
• Strong product judgment; translate user behavior into simple technical solutions.
• Ownership mindset: propose ideas, ship features, and drive improvements.
• Experience mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar.

Responsibilities

• Build agentic apps, features, and workflows that make Perplexity a daily driver for users.
• Lead vertical-specific products and AI-powered experiences, turning data into reliable tools.
• Own the data backbone of pipelines, infrastructure, and connectors with high reliability.
• Drive end-to-end projects across the full stack, running experiments and optimizing adoption.
• Set technical direction, mentor engineers, and collaborate with AI, Design, Data Science, and Infra.
