Job summary

ByteDance's Technology team in Seattle is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable compute infrastructure for AI workloads. You will own large-scale cloud infrastructure to support the company’s compute and ML training/deployment pipelines, and you’ll contribute to high-performance, distributed systems used across global teams.

• Build large-scale and highly available cloud infrastructure to support the company’s compute infrastructure platform.
• Design, build, and maintain compute systems to streamline the training and deployment of large-scale machine learning models.
• Develop and build high-performance, distributed infrastructure to support artificial intelligence (AI) workflows.
• Take ownership of the technical stack, transitioning experimental machine learning models into production services while ensuring system reliability, observability, and fault tolerance in multi-agent environments.
• Take ownership of the observability of the company’s AI platforms, including monitoring health, identifying performance bottlenecks, and making recommendations to drive platform reliability.
• Write research papers and file technical patents capturing work in cloud infrastructure, AIOps, and distributed computing.
