Job description

Introduction to Caddie

Caddie helps e-commerce companies improve their online conversion with an AI Superbar. It combines search with personalized sales assistance. It helps customers find products and answers their questions to drive purchasing behaviour.

We use AI and machine learning to guide customers similarly to a salesperson in a store. We're a Y Combinator company with $3M+ in funding. We’re currently in stealth mode, working with a set of large e-commerce customers who are paying us to help them fix their conversion.

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer (Founding Engineer), you’ll play a critical role in building and shaping Caddie. We’re still pretty early, so you’ll get a chance to work on infrastructure, AI, ML, core features, and everything in between. Our product has a small front-end footprint so most of the work is backend. You’ll work hand-in-hand with the co-founders to go from zero to one.

What We’re Looking For

We’ll keep it short. We’re looking for great people rather than checking 100 boxes.

• 5+ years of experience building modern web applications
• Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Full-stack experience that includes Typescript, RESTful APIs, React
• A passion for building something incredible from the ground up
• A startup mindset (collaborate, move quickly, iterate)

Bonus

• Worked on search, AI or ML products
• Experience with any of the following: NestJS, Pulumi, Terraform, LLama 2, OpenAI APIs, LangChain, LangGraph, e-commerce APIs (e.g. Shopify, Magento)
• Worked with microservices, Domain-driven design, Object Oriented Programming.
