Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an experienced software engineering leader to act as a technical lead for a full-stack development team. You will own the design, delivery, and planning of improvements across multiple systems, championing AI-first development and balancing technical debt with feature delivery.

You will guide engineering practices, mentor team members, and collaborate with product managers to shape the roadmap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of experience as a software engineer developing enterprise-grade distributed applications.
• 3+ years in a technical leadership role owning multiple systems and collaborating across teams.
• Experience with AWS and infrastructure-as-code.
• Ability to advance AI-first engineering practices and coach teams on AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical lead for a full-stack software development team (Scrum).
• Own design, delivery, and planning of improvements across multiple systems.
• Advance AI-first development, balance technical debt with feature delivery.
• Lead on-call, incident response, and operational excellence.
• Mentor engineers, enforce code quality, and promote growth.
• Engage customers and PMs to validate solutions and inform roadmap.
• Drive tooling across projects to improve development and operations.
