Job summary

F5 Networks, Inc. seeks an experienced Software Development Engineer to design, build, and optimize modern digital experiences for a global audience. You will work across product, marketing, data, and platform teams to deliver AI-enabled customer experiences using modern web technologies.

The ideal candidate will lead architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and apply AI-driven development practices to create scalable, secure solutions while upholding quality and performance standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production software.
Experience with AI-Augmented Software Development practices and tools.
Experience designing and deploying Generative AI applications, copilots, assistants, or agents.
Experience building UX-focused web applications and headless CMS platforms, preferably Sanity.
Strong expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript development.
Experience with Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS, HTML/CSS.
Experience with GitLab-based source control and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and distributed services.
Strong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and system design.
Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and optimize user-centered web experiences and evolve the Sanity CMS platform.
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable web applications and digital experiences.
Lead the technical design and implementation of complex features and platform capabilities.
Drive architecture decisions focused on reliability, performance, maintainability, security, and scalability.
Manage the full software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
Implement modern cloud-native and headless architecture patterns.
Establish and enforce engineering best practices, coding standards, testing strategies, and CI/CD processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across distributed systems.
Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery velocity.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business processes that can be enhanced through AI-driven automation.
