Job summary

Angel is building the next era of entertainment with AI-powered streaming APIs across mobile, TV, and web. You will own end-to-end design and execution for discovery APIs, shaping how millions of fans discover, watch, and engage with Angel’s growing library.

Expect high ownership, rapid iteration, and close collaboration with multiple teams. Travel to Utah events twice yearly; 40 hours/week, regular full-time, work authorization in the United States, and a suite of engineering-focused benefits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience writing high-performance reusable code.
• Experience leveraging code agents and AI models to accelerate outcomes.
• Expert knowledge in Node.js, React, GraphQL/REST/Protobuf/HTTPS, RabbitMQ, Docker, Kubernetes, S3/Postgres/Redis, Otel/Datadog.
• Strong DevOps practices (CI/CD, flow optimization, ownership).
• Systems thinking with Kanban and pull systems.
• Proactive in dynamic environments with diverse users.

Responsibilities

• Own the Streaming API and end-to-end design strategy for Angel’s content and discovery APIs.
• Lead and execute initiatives across mobile, TV, and web apps.
• Drive experimentation, rapid iteration, and stakeholder collaboration.
• Clarify designs and plans to maximize cross-team collaboration.
• Prioritize high-leverage opportunities and deliver essential features.
• Collaborate with other teams to enable smooth API adoption.
• Execute end-to-end improvements using AI, data, and user feedback.
