Job summary

Coupa is hiring for a software engineer to build features with Product and Design, implement robust REST APIs and microservices, and scale our platform with AI-assisted tooling. You’ll engage in code reviews, work in an agile environment, and collaborate with Support and Professional Services to resolve customer issues.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of RoR or Java experience, strong OO design, proficiency with React.js and MySQL, and a degree in CS or a related field.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of software development experience in Ruby on Rails or Java.
• Experience building REST APIs and micro-services.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools, including Claude Code.
• Bachelor's degree in CS Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to build new features and iterate quickly.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain a robust, maintainable codebase.
• Work in an agile environment with quick iterations and feedback.
• Collaborate with Support and Professional Services to resolve customer issues.
• Help scale the platform and drive product expansion.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to boost productivity and innovation.
• Contribute to performance and reliability when integrating data sources.
