Job summary

Nelnet’s FACTS SIS unit is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help design and build enterprise web applications in a collaborative, global environment. You will work with Product and Engineering teams to translate customer needs into scalable features, mentor junior engineers, and uphold development best practices.

The role emphasizes a .NET stack with Angular, TypeScript, and modern data stores, with hybrid work enabling part-time remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building enterprise web apps with C#, ASP.NET Core, Angular, TypeScript, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with SQL Server and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Azure Cloud Services preferred.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and adopting AI in workflows.

Responsibilities

• Researches, designs, implements and manages software applications.
• Partners with Product and Engineering to define requirements.
• Write, test, and implement efficient code.
• Review and provide feedback on pull requests.
• Use AI coding tools as part of daily workflow.
• Collaborate with global teams and mentors.
