Job summary

At Athelas, we are looking for an experienced software engineer to join our Revenue Cycle Management Core team. This role involves building intelligent systems that automate financial workflows and ensure successful claims submissions. You will be responsible for the entire claims process and will work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve excellence.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of software development experience, is proficient in frontend and backend technologies, and has a proven track record in system architecture. The compensation range for this position is $170K - $240K.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development industry experience.
• Proficiency in frontend (Typescript, React) and backend (Python, Go) languages.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing end‑to‑end solutions.

Responsibilities

• Submit claims through multiple clearinghouses and handle responses.
• Transform structured claim payloads into valid electronic EDI claims.
• Develop rules for eligibility routing logic to prevent errors.
• Scale a rule engine for high transaction volumes with explainability.
• Propose improvements to architecture and tools.
• Build products to revolutionize revenue cycle management.
• Mentor engineers and conduct code reviews.
