Job summary

CACI International is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and sustain mission-critical defense financial and planning systems. You will own end-to-end software architecture from full-stack development to integrating AI capabilities, with a focus on secure, scalable solutions across unclassified and classified environments.

You will lead design reviews, mentor developers, and drive best practices in testing, code review, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Active security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) required.
• Security+ certification required.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Data Science/Math or related STEM field.
• 10+ years of professional software development across the full SDLC.
• Direct federal DoD/DoW experience with relevant constraints.
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, plus React/NodeJS/.NET.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, Git, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack apps with React, TS, NodeJS, Python, and .NET.
• Lead by example in design, testing, code review, and ownership.
• Mentor junior developers through code reviews and guidance.
• Integrate AI-enabled features, including LLM APIs, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows.
• Architect reliable API integrations with strong error handling and graceful degradation.
• Troubleshoot defects and address DoW cybersecurity standards compliance.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) and collaborative workflows.
• Document technical implementations and stay current with tech developments.
