Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (L3) for a remote-first role, open to candidates in Canada. You'll join the Compliance Experiences team, building scalable cloud-native services that power global communications APIs, and shaping the platform with AI-driven development.

You’ll own end-to-end delivery, design robust APIs, mentor juniors, and collaborate with product partners to meet regulatory and reliability requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing and developing highly available, cloud-native distributed systems.
• Proficient in Java or Go with AWS experience (Lambda, EKS, DynamoDB, Kafka).
• Hands-on cloud-native infra, microservices, and resilient systems.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to technical design and roadmap for core platform components.
• Leverage AI coding assistants to automate boilerplate and generate tests.
• Own end-to-end component delivery, APIs, and tooling.
• Translate customer needs and regulatory requirements into precise specs and workflows.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Identify risks, optimize performance, and lead on-call incident resolution.
• Document designs, trade-offs, and runbooks for cross-functional teams.
