Job summary

Speechify Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer - AI Data to join the AI team and build data pipelines powering model training and next-generation AI products.

You will create high-quality datasets at scale by integrating engineering, infrastructure, and research efforts. You will work with AI scientists to improve training data quality, scale, and efficiency, taking ownership of projects from discovery through deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or higher in CS or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with backend focus.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience building and operating production systems, especially data pipelines or large-scale processing.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Discover new audio data sources and build reliable pipelines for training datasets.
• Build and optimize large-scale data-processing systems for quality, throughput, and cost.
• Collaborate with AI scientists to improve training data for next-generation models.
• Own engineering projects from discovery to implementation and continuous improvement.
