Job summary

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer - AI Data to join its AI team and build data pipelines powering model training and next-generation AI products. You will contribute to building high-quality datasets at scale, combining engineering, infrastructure, and research to enable efficient AI training.

You’ll collaborate with AI scientists, take ownership from problem discovery through implementation, and help create systems that scale data processing while reducing cost and improving data

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering, with strong backend fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience building and operating production data pipelines and large-scale data processing.
• Strong problem-solving, initiative, and ability to work independently in ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Discover new sources of audio data and build reliable pipelines for training datasets.
• Build and improve large-scale data-processing systems for quality, throughput, and cost.
• Collaborate with AI Scientists to improve training datasets and models.
• Take ownership of projects from discovery to implementation and improvement.
