Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking Senior Software Engineers to design reinforcement learning environments for evaluating AI models on software tasks. You will create deterministic verification environments and reference solutions, focusing on bug fixing, feature development, refactoring, and performance optimization.

Experience with multiple programming languages and strong problem-solving skills are required. Remote work is available with a contractor arrangement (~15 hours per week).

Qualifications

Experience with Python 3, Java, Rust, C++, or TypeScript.
Strong algorithms and data structures knowledge.
Proven bug fixing and debugging of complex software issues.
Experience implementing features and refactoring large codebases.
Strong performance optimization and tuning abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Create reinforcement learning environments for software tasks.
Design tasks including bug fixing, feature development, and refactoring.
Build deterministic verification systems and reference solutions.
Evaluate AI agents on complex codebases using MCP tools.
Develop realistic, reproducible software engineering scenarios.
Document solutions and provide clear technical feedback.
