Job summary

Mercor, a leading AI data company, seeks a strong engineer to build agentic products that scale across backend, frontend, data, and infrastructure. You’ll work with researchers, operators, and AI companies to push frontier models forward, joining a CEO-facing but team-matched environment.

You will own features end-to-end—from scoping with researchers and ops partners through implementation, launch, and iteration on real customer feedback.

Qualifications

• Experience building scalable backend and frontend systems.
• Proficiency with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern web frameworks.
• Familiarity with ML tooling, data engineering, and observability practices.

Responsibilities

• Own agentic features end-to-end from scoping to delivery.
• Design and ship LLM agents, harnesses, and verifiers.
• Build Python/FastAPI services and Temporal/Modal pipelines.
• Develop RL environments and enterprise data integrations.
• Create tooling to convert agent trajectories into insights.
• Shape full-stack interfaces and data models for agents and audit trails.
• Define agent quality and drive reliability, cost, latency, and UX.
