Job summary

Kraken is expanding its Agent Systems team to build AI-powered agents that automate internal workflows and orchestrate actions across internal tools. You will prototype quickly, validate behaviors, and productionize the most valuable components to scale operations.

You will design inference pipelines, architect backend services, and collaborate with product, infra, and operations to identify high-value automation opportunities while maintaining reliability and observability in a fast-moving 0→1

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production software engineering experience.
• Strong backend fundamentals including APIs, distributed systems, data modeling, and reliability.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML systems, LLMs, or inference pipelines in production.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship AI-powered agent systems that automate internal workflows.
• Design and implement inference pipelines that reason over user interactions across internal systems.
• Prototype rapidly and productionize valuable components.
• Architect backend services that integrate with multiple internal APIs and data sources.
• Define patterns for safe, observable, and controllable agent execution.
• Collaborate across product, infra, and operations to identify automation opportunities.
• Improve system speed, reliability, and signal quality as usage scales.
• Contribute to foundational design decisions for a 0→1 agent platform.
