Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Agentic AI, to design and operate cloud-native Java microservices on AWS. You will partner with small cross-functional teams to deliver scalable features from planning through production support, emphasizing resiliency, performance, and incident response in a fast-moving environment.

You will apply spec-driven development practices and automation to strengthen delivery quality and operational efficiency. Remote within US-based candidates only.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience with Java microservices and serverless architectures.
• Strong skills in Java and Spring Boot, with solid testing and debugging capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with AI-powered systems and agentic applications.
• Familiarity with spec-driven development (SDD) and event-driven streaming on AWS.

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Agentic AI to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will focus on designing and operating cloud-native software that supports intelligent, AI-enabled workflows and business capabilities. You will partner with small, cross-functional teams to deliver reliable platform features from planning through production support. The position emphasizes building scalable services, improving resiliency and performance, and supporting incident response in a fast-moving technical environment.

You will also help apply spec-driven development practices and automation to strengthen delivery quality and operational efficiency.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $117,000 – $209,330 annually

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate cloud-native Java microservices on AWS
