Job summary

NVIDIA in Redmond, WA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Agentic AI High-Performance Code Generation team. You will help design autonomous coding agents, scale distributed systems, and shape evaluation frameworks across the NVIDIA stack.

The role requires a MS in CS or related field, 4+ years building production systems, and strong Python and C++/Rust skills. You will work with cutting-edge tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and CUDA-based performance optimizations.

Qualifications

• MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years of experience building and maintaining large-scale production systems.
• Proven experience in building coding agents or developing comprehensive agent platforms.
• Direct experience developing skills and workflows using state-of-the-art coding agents and IDEs (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex).
• Proficient in Python and at least one systems programming language (C++ or Rust).
• Strong background in AI evaluation and the ability to design benchmarks for complex, non-deterministic agentic behaviors.
• Experience with distributed systems and orchestration to manage high-throughput AI workloads.

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Agentic AI High-Performance Code Generation team. In this role, you will be at the heart of building autonomous systems that don't just suggest code—they engineer it at the highest levels of performance. We are seeking talented engineers with a robust background in agent design, AI evaluation, and distributed systems to help us redefine the software development lifecycle using NVIDIA's world-class accelerated computing stack.

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd

• Low-Level Mastery: Experience writing CUDA kernels and deep-dive profiling using Nsight Compute and Nsight Systems.
• Framework Optimization: Hands-on experience optimizing and deploying with TRT-LLM, SGLang, vLLM, or Transformer Engine.
• Agentic Innovation: Demonstrated leadership in building and scaling agentic AI applications in production environments.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 152,000 USD - 241,500 USD for Level 3, and 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
