Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance diverse software systems handling analytics, large data sets, and real-time processing. You will work solo or in a team, review code, test components, and implement features while considering system design trade-offs and reuse.

The role requires 4+ years of related experience and a Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph eligibility, along with U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required.
• 4 years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may substitute for a degree.
• 2 years experience developing and customizing core applications such as Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and Service Catalog.
• 4 years of IT application systems experience in technology solutions delivery.
• Experience creating and implementing scripts, business rules, policies, ACLs and configuring/modifying ServiceNow applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems per requirements.
• Review and test software components; document results and fix defects.
• Code/design new features and integrate into systems or environments.
• Suggest architecture improvements; balance hardware/software trade-offs and reuse.
• Develop queries and interfaces for databases or data repositories.
