Our Activation team seeks a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer with a strong technical background passionate about building scalable data systems that enable cross-disciplinary capabilities. The role involves maintaining our Activation Data products, which serve as a data sharing platform, requiring expertise in building reliable, fault-tolerant data products for real-time and batch data delivery. Our tech stack includes AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, Airflow, Spark, with languages like Scala, Python, SQL, and Java.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with big data and backend engineers to deliver high-value projects.
  • Represent the team in organization-wide large-scale programs.
  • Build components of a large-scale data platform for real-time and batch processing, owning features aligned with business needs.
  • Develop and improve cloud-based big data infrastructure for batch and streaming data applications.
  • Participate in code reviews and promote best engineering practices.
  • Mentor junior team members and guide their technical development.
  • Work with program managers, product managers, SDET, and researchers in an open environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of related software development experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with Python, Scala, or Java.
  • At least 2 years’ experience with Spark.
  • Strong SQL development skills related to ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with Docker and containerization technologies.
  • Experience with Airflow or similar schedulers.
  • Solid software design principles.
  • Experience mentoring and leading junior engineers.
  • Ability to collaborate with product and program managers.
  • Experience with testing tools like pytest, junit, or similar.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent work experience.
