EMPLOYER: Optum Services, Inc.

JOB TITLE: Senior Software Engineer

LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)

DUTIES: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Duties to include: support UHC Fraud, Waste and Abuse Pre-pay analytics across all Lines of Business claim types, and claim platforms; implement new analytics, enhancements to existing analytics, analytic research requests, and operational support functions; optimize advance Machine Learning modules to meet strict timelines; conduct release activities supporting Software Development Life Cycle through production deployment; responsible for software troubleshooting and driving to resolution, application review and identify infrastructure problems and issues; develop and implement batch scheduling and file delivery jobs to meet the needs of the application; work towards the team's innovation goals to develop, utilize and maintain system and process documentation and reports; utilize the service management and service delivery principles; research, analyze and restore issues impacting production and production-like environments and contributing to higher end user satisfaction levels; support data ETL process including data extraction for source systems, data transformations, and data loading; and work with partner data engineering teams on bug fixes to improve the overall platform reliability. Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.

REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Position requires one (1) year of experience in the following:
• Big Data environments, including Big Data concepts and tools such as Hadoop and/or Spark;
• Programming, including Java, Scala, and/or Python;
• Relational/NoSQL databases;
• Data Analysis;
• PySpark;
• Agile/Scrum methodology; and
• Cloud development environments such as MS Azure.

RATE OF PAY: $103,605 - $147,900 / per year
