Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced software engineer to design and maintain embedded Linux services and Python applications. You will develop REST APIs and microservices for device and cloud communication, working across Linux, networking, and device-level services.

The role involves provisioning and remote device management, building telemetry and monitoring capabilities, and collaborating with teams using MQTT, Docker/OCI containers, and cloud-connected systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of Linux-based software development.
• Adaptable to using many different technologies depending on goals.
• Able to learn new languages and tools quickly.
• Strong Python development experience.
• Experience with Linux services and systemd.
• Experience building REST APIs and microservices.
• Experience developing software for embedded, IoT, edge, or physical-device environments.
• Strong Git/version-control experience.
