Job summary

Altamira Technologies Corporation is seeking Software Engineers for a dynamic full-stack role in Warrenton, VA. You will design, develop, and test software within a complex architecture to support mission analysts and users.

Collaboration with customers and teammates is essential to translate mission needs into effective software. Requirements include a BS/BA in a technical field, 7+ years in a similar role, and deep experience with Java, Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, and RESTful services.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (7+ years in similar role).
• Advanced proficiency in Java or similar object oriented language.
• Experience developing and utilizing Elasticsearch databases and JSON.
• Deep understanding of modern web application tooling (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, REST, ELK).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test software within a complex architecture to support a dynamic mission and provide desired functionality to mission analysts and users.
• Work directly with the customer to interpret mission needs and requirements to produce user-friendly software systems.
• Leverage continuous integration to create sustainable and maintainable software.
• Interact with teammates and users through whiteboard sessions and/or design documents to establish circular feedback.

Position Description: We are seeking Software Engineers that enjoy a dynamic working environment and possess a mix of talent areas related to full stack development. Role and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and test software within a complex architecture to support a dynamic mission and provide desired functionality to mission analysts and users

Minimum Education / Experience:

• BS/BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 7+ years of experience in a similar software development role.
• Advanced proficiency in Java or similar object oriented language
• Experience developing and utilizing Elasticsearch databases and JSON.
• Deep understanding of modern web application tooling such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, Web Services (REST), and the ELK stack.

Nice to have (preferred):

• Strong professional experience with DevOps or infrastructure automation
• Experience with Digital Signal Processing with specific focus on XMIDAS
• Experience with Machine Learning and/or Data Analytics
• Experience with Redis
• Experience working within an Agile development environment

Clearance: TS/SCI REQUIRED. NO EXCEPTIONS.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $150K to $200K. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, the scope of the position, relevant experience, education, certifications, internal equity, customer contractual requirements, security clearance requirements, and other legitimate business considerations.
