Hirewell is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – AI Experience to join a lean, high-output team. This remote role focuses on AI-native product development, full-stack work with TypeScript, Vue.js, and Node.js in an Azure environment, and integrating AI models from providers like OpenAI and Anthropic.

You will shape agentic development, evaluations, observability, and production AI systems while delivering AI-powered content authoring and management features for learners and professionals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building customer-facing products.
• Strong TypeScript and UI fundamentals with full-stack experience.
• Experience shipping end-to-end features with measurable product impact.
• Hands-on experience building or integrating AI/LLM-powered applications.
• Understanding of RAG/retrieval, agentic workflows, LLM evaluations, and model APIs.
• Experience with AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship full-stack features using TypeScript, Vue.js, and Node.js in an Azure environment.
• Build AI-powered products and features from concept through production.
• Design and develop LLM-powered workflows, retrieval pipelines, and agentic systems.
• Create evaluations and observability around AI/LLM features to measure quality and performance.

• Consider token usage, latency, cost, security, prompt injection, and graceful failure when designing AI systems.

Senior Software Engineer – AI Experience

We’re working with a well-established online education and career-training company that operates several digital learning platforms serving students and working professionals across a wide range of programs. The company is investing heavily in modern technology and AI to improve how learners discover programs, enroll, access content, and progress through their education.

They are looking for a Senior Software Engineer – AI Experience to join a lean, high-output engineering team and help build AI-native products from the ground up. This is a hands-on full-stack engineering role for someone who sees LLMs as core product infrastructure and has experience taking AI features from early prototypes through production.

You’ll work closely with product, platform, and engineering teams to build AI-powered experiences, while also helping establish best practices around agentic development, AI-assisted engineering, evaluation, observability, and responsible use of LLMs.

What You'll Do
