- You’ll join the team that owns costing, pricing, lead time, and DFM (design for manufacturability) for our instant quoting platform
- When a customer uploads a part, our systems decide what it costs, when it ships, and whether it can be made
- Accuracy matters; our output directly drives revenue and customer trust
- As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll help build and scale the systems running our global manufacturing ecosystem:
- Design and develop highly available, scalable backend services in AWS
- Build and maintain event-driven, asynchronous systems using Node.js
- Create robust APIs (REST / GraphQL) powering customer-facing and internal tools
- Use AI coding agents to take features from design through implementation and testing, while owning the correctness of every change
- Write specs, tests, and repo context that make agent-driven development reliable in a large, established codebase
- Partner closely with product, frontend, and infrastructure teams to ship features that actually move the business
- Contribute to technical design discussions and drive best practices across the team
- Help shape how the team works with AI: sharing patterns, tooling, and lessons learned
- Debug production issues and improve system reliability
- Continuously improve code quality through testing, observability, and documentation

We’re scaling fast, and we’re looking for engineers who’d rather untangle hard, real-world problems than push pixels on a toy app
We build with AI agents as a core part of how we work. We’re looking for strong engineers who use agents to plan, implement, and test faster, and who have the judgment to know when the output is wrong
- 5 + years of backend engineering experience
- Knowledge of system design, caching, and security best practices (OWASP Top 10)
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures
- Strong code review skills, applied just as rigorously to AI-generated changes
- Strong skills in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases
- A commitment to writing unit and integration tests
- Experience building systems on AWS (SQS, Lambda, EC2, RDS, etc.)
- Experience designing and maintaining REST or GraphQL APIs
- Hands‑on experience shipping production code with AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot agent mode), with clear examples of where you had to step in, correct, or override them
- You stay curious and keep learning new technologies and patterns
- You treat AI as a force multiplier, not a substitute for understanding the system
- You enjoy mentoring others and raising the bar for engineering excellence
- You solve problems proactively, even outside your immediate scope
- You communicate clearly and collaborate across teams
- You take ownership and ship clean, maintainable, production-ready code
If scaling systems, solving hard problems, and shaping the future of manufacturing sounds like your kind of work.
We’re actively seeking teammates who:
- Excel at being part of a strong, empathetic team
- Have an ‘always learning’ mindset that celebrates learning, not just wins
- Help us continue to build a world‑class organization that values the contributions of all of our teammates
- Bring diverse perspectives and experience to our culture and company
- Thrive in an environment emphasizing respect, honesty, collaboration, and growth
- Experience with high‑scale or business‑critical systems
- AWS certification
- Experience with pricing, quoting, or other numerically sensitive business logic
- Experience building agent workflows, custom tools, or MCP integrations for your team
