Skydance is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer (front-end leaning) for the CNN Engagement Web team. You will join highly collaborative teams that value learning, diverse perspectives, and growth to deliver meaningful experiences worldwide.

Formación

• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience with modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• 4+ years of full-stack development with Node.js and client-server apps
• Strong fundamentals: data structures & algorithms
• Hands-on system design & architecture across frontend, backend, APIs, databases
• Proven technical leadership, mentoring engineers
• Python/Go/Rust experience a plus
• AWS services like IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, EKS, Lambda, Route53
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases; CI/CD and infra tools (Git, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, CloudFormation)
• Experience using AI tools to improve development workflows
• Debugging and problem-solving skills
• Experience with A/B testing, analytics, experimentation tooling
• Knowledge of site performance best practices with 3+ years hands-on

Your New Role…

We are hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer (front‑end leaning) for the CNN Engagement Web team.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will drive technical initiatives at the intersection of news publishing workflows, A/B experimentation, and data-informed product decisions. You will play a key role in shaping architecture and implementation, partnering closely with engineers, product managers, and designers acrossmultiple teams.

You will contribute end-to‑end,from technical planning and design to development, code reviews, and deployment,while raising the bar on engineering excellence and best practices. In this role, you will deepen your expertise in building scalable, high-quality features and robust system integrations that support high-traffic user experiences in a fast-paced, dynamic news environment.

Your Role Accountabilities…

• Mentor and develop junior engineers through hands‑on guidance, code reviews, and training initiatives
• Design and implement infrastructure and validation systems for data models within simulation platforms and broader application ecosystems
• Communicate proactively on progress, risks, and blockers, ensuring alignment and strong stakeholder relationships
• Actively contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies while providing technical leadership and guidance
• Build and scale applications and infrastructure supporting CNNuse cases and evolving product needs
• Experience working in Agile software development environments using tools such as JIRA, GitHub, and Confluence

Qualifications & Experience…

• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field
• 6+ years of experience with modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• 4+ years of full‑stack development experience with Node.js and client‑server applications
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms
• Hands‑on experience with system design and architecture, including designing scalable end‑to‑end solutions across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, and distributed systems
• Proven technical leadership experience, including driving decisions and mentoring engineers
• Python/Go/Rust experience as a plus
• Hands‑on experience with AWS Services like IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, EKS, Lambda, and Route53
• Experience with data storage technologies, including SQL and/or NoSQL databases. Familiarity with CI/CD and infrastructure tools such as Git, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and CloudFormation
• Experience using AI tools to improve development, code review and engineering workflows while balancing speed, quality, and bottlenecks.
• Experience in debugging and problem‑solving skills
• Experience with A/B testing, analytics, or experimentation tooling
• Knowledge of best practices for improving site performance, with 3+ years of hands‑on experience applying them in production environments.

Hiring Salary Range: $130,970.00 - $243,230.00 per yearIn compliance with local law, we are disclosing compensation, or a range thereof, for roles where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on a variety of job‑related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, external market data, internal equity, skill set, experience, training, education, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of our total compensation package. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program‑specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
