Job description

Imagine Pediatrics is a tech enabled, pediatrician led medical group reimagining care for children with special health care needs. We deliver 24/7 virtual first and in home medical, behavioral, and social care, working alongside families, providers, and health plans to break down barriers to quality care. We do not replace existing care teams; we enhance them, providing an extra layer of support with compassion, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to children with medical complexity.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Software Engineer with Imagine Pediatrics, you will be responsible for designing, building and supporting our digital product suite, with a focus on scale, stability and delightful user experiences for our clinical team and our members. Your focus will be finding and building solutions to achieve our goals and solve problems.

You will:

  • Be an effective communicator while interacting with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Communicate with business stakeholders to understand goals and translate them to technical architecture and requirements
  • Have a collaborative, data-driven, and iterative approach to building products
  • Estimate product scope and timelines
  • Lead and mentor other software engineers to follow best engineering practices
  • Produce technical solutions that satisfy business requirements with a focus on scalability, stability, efficiency, maintainability and extensibility
  • Build products and software using modern & stable technologies, with a willingness to jump into any area of the stack when needed

What You Bring & How You Qualify

First and foremost, you’re passionate and committed to reimagining pediatric health care and creating a world where every child with special health care needs gets the care and support they deserve. You want an active role in building a diverse and values-driven culture. Things change quickly in a startup environment; you accept that and are willing to pivot quickly on priorities. In this role, you will need:

  • Deep understanding and experience with cloud-based services, service design patterns, data structures, data integrations
  • A collaborative, client-friendly approach to API design
  • Experience with modern technologies (Node / Java / C# / Go (or similar languages), AWS, Terraform, Github Actions)
  • Strong understanding and value for all the layers of a production system including dev ops and infrastructure, data, internal and third-party integrations, testing, and user-facing clients
  • Experience hosting application services on cloud providers, AWS strongly preferred
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, hypergrowth, collaborative environment
  • Experience in healthcare / virtual care preferred, FHIR experience a bonus

What We Offer (Benefits + Perks)

The role offers a base salary range of $140,000 - $170,000 in addition to annual bonus, competitive company benefits package and eligibility to participate in an employee equity purchase program (as applicable). When determining compensation, we analyze and carefully consider several factors including job-related knowledge, skills and experience. These considerations may cause your compensation to vary.
