Senior Software Engineer
OBIX - Remote

We are seeking experienced individuals in software development, design, and architecture to contribute to our FDA-regulated healthcare software suite. Responsibilities include designing and implementing new products and modules, enhancing existing products, and focusing on customer requirements and quality assurance. Effective communication and a positive workplace are highly valued.

This remote role is open to candidates across the US, with a preference for East Coast applicants.

What will your impact be:

• Communicate with product managers to define requirements
• Design and implement products with the Engineering team
• Conduct requirements analysis
• Design and document products, including HTML front-end design
• Participate in design reviews
• Estimate project timelines
• Develop, test, and fix bugs
• Create technical documentation
• Support technical and support staff with materials and instructions
• Collaborate with the Software V&V Team Lead and testing team
• Assist with customer requests and issues
• Provide sales support as needed
• Assist with clinical implementation as required

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• Proven experience in developing complex software systems using OOD methodologies
• Excellent communication skills
• 7+ years of programming experience
• Experience with object-oriented development in Python, C++, on Linux and Windows
• Knowledge of web technologies (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, PHP) is a plus
• Experience with databases like SQL, PostgreSQL
• Understanding of Networking, Client-Server architectures, and Operating Systems
• Familiarity with mobility applications
• Strong documentation skills
• Experience in regulated industries is preferred
• Ability to understand complex business concepts and translate them into technical solutions
• Data analysis skills
• Structured and reasoned thinking
• Attention to detail for troubleshooting and resolution
