Job summary

Syndesus, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build fintech/blockchain infrastructure. The role focuses on backend systems for secure money movement, API design, and collaboration with product and engineering on architecture.

Remote within the US with significant Pacific Time overlap. You’ll work on microservices for cross‑protocol transfers, integrate with banks and fintech platforms, and contribute to scalable payments infrastructure across teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development in object-oriented languages, with deep Java expertise.
• Experience leading small technical teams (2–4 engineers) on architecture and design decisions.
• Solid background in payment systems — credit cards, bank transfers, and payment rails.
• Strong RESTful API design and development fundamentals.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and SQL schema design.
