Sr. Software Engineer, Data, Python, Pandas or Polars, Remote

A growing consulting firm is adding a Senior Software Engineer for their Data Team. Projects focused on data ingestion pipelines, data analysis, data presentation, supporting business users who will consume ingested data, leading the client to identify opportunities to learn from the available data and identify, recommend, and support ingestion of data from additional sources.

What will you be doing?

• Work with 3 Software Engineers on a team
• Strong emphasis on the back-end with lite front-end work
• Design and develop software using Python, FastAPI
• Work with the team to develop features and solve complex technical problems.
• Ensure code quality, security, and scalability
• Debug and troubleshoot issues promptly
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback

What are the minimum qualifications?

• 8+ years of experience in software development
• Some technical leadership skills
• Strong experience in Python
• Experience in data injection pipelines, data analysis, and data presentation
• Experience with Pandas or Polars libraries
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with team members
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
• Perfect orchestration preferred or related software
