Job summary

Virtusa is seeking a Java developer to build user-facing features using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices. You will translate designs into production-ready code, optimize for performance, and maintain clean, scalable components.

The role requires collaboration with frontend, design, and product teams, participation in Agile ceremonies, and strong problem-solving skills. Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Java 8+ and Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security).
• RESTful API design and development experience.
• Solid OOP, design patterns, and data structures knowledge.
• Experience with Oracle DB and ORM frameworks (Hibernate/JPA).
• Version control with Git and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Experience with unit/integration testing (JUnit/Mockito) and CI/CD pipelines.

Develop new user-facing features using Java & Microservices and build reusable components and front-end libraries

Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality, production-ready code

Optimize components for maximum performance across various web-capable devices and browsers

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices and coding standards

Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members

Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and product managers to deliver cohesive solutions

Participate in agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives

Document application changes, maintain technical documentation, and share knowledge with the team

SKill
