Job summary

EOSYS is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Smyrna, TN, to design and deliver software for manufacturing clients. You will work in small, multi-disciplinary teams on projects ranging from SCADA to MES/MOM, with occasional on-site commissioning.

The role supports a hybrid work model from the Smyrna, TN office, with up to 10% regional and continental US travel to client sites. A BS in CS/Engineering and 10+ years’ experience are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or Engineering (CS/EE/ME) required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years’ experience designing and developing software applications using Python, C#, .NET, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and MS SQL (or equivalent).
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and ability to work in a hybrid onsite/remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop software solutions for manufacturing clients, ranging from standalone SCADA to full-scale MES/MOM systems.
• Collaborate in small multi-disciplinary teams and deliver projects across multiple facilities.
• Occasionally join on-site project commissioning teams to see results in client environments.
• Operate within a hybrid model from the Smyrna, TN office with some travel to client sites.

As a Senior Software Engineer at EOSYS, you will be working with small, multi-disciplinary teams to develop software solutions for our manufacturing clients. Applications range from standalone SCADA applications to full-scale MES/MOM applications across multiple facilities. The EOSYS Digital Transformation team focuses primarily on the food & beverage and automotive industries.

Projects typically range from a few weeks up to 6 months. On some projects, you will also be a part of the project commissioning team that goes onsite to the client. This allows you to see the “fruits of your labor” while also getting to experience unique manufacturing environments such as automotive assembly, guitar manufacturing, chocolate production and whiskey making. Based on your capabilities and interest, there will be opportunities to learn new skills and technologies as well as advance within the company.

This position operates under a hybrid work model based out of our Smyrna, TN office. The role requires a regular, routine onsite presence for face-to-face collaboration, team meetings, and hands-on projects, combined with the flexibility of partial remote work. Additionally this position requires up to 10% travel to client sites regionally and throughout the continental US.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or Engineering (Computer, Electrical, Mechanical)
• 10+ years’ experience designing and developing software applications using some or all of the following languages and/or technologies: Python, C#, .NET, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, database experience (MS SQL preferred)
• An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience will be considered
• Travel up to 10%

Nice to have

• Experience with MQTT and UNS
• Experience with Vue, React, or Angular
• Agile methodology experience
• Basic knowledge of PLC tag structures and communications
• Azure DevOps experience
• Familiarity with working in a manufacturing environment
